 Книга представляет собой коллекцию ЦУ (ценных указаний по применению и ценных указаний по разработке) от фирмы Linear Technology. Тоже серьёзная фирма, живая до сих пор, что характерно. Техасские приборы ещё не всех скушали.
 В коллекции документов по применению и разработке можно почерпнуть не только рекомендации по применению конкретных компонентов LT, но также идеи по разработке, подходы к конструированию, схемотехнические рецепты с использованием аналоговых ИС.

 Первое издание якобы вышло в 1987 году, но у меня его нет. Судя по тому, что первым документом идёт AN1 от августа 1984 г., в этом издании, предположительно, должно быть всё, что было в первом.
 Великий и ужасный Роберт (Боб) Ви́длар был в 1981 одним из основателей Linear Technology, но у них «не сложилось». Проработав там всего три года, он вернулся в National Semiconductor. В этой книге им написан всего один документ — AN16. Введение и большое количество материала написал Джеймс (Джим) Уильямс (1948‒2011).
